"The purity that God asks in your and my life, is not a purity the see's how close you can get to some imaginary line, it is a purity that has you running as fast as you can in the opposite direction." Joshua Harris

Not Date!!!!!!! What?

Now I have never dated but when I turned 19 I was like well Lord im not married yet?

I had a lot of Question’s. How was I going to find a wife? What did the Lord want me to do?

So I started to search the Bible for some insight on the subject. Pro 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favor of Jehovah. Pro 5:18 So be happy with your wife and find your joy with the woman you married.Pro 5:19 pretty and graceful as a deer. Let her charms keep you happy; let her surround you with her love.

It says in Matthew Henry's Commentary on Pro 5:18

Let him that is married take delight in his wife, and let him be very fond of her, not only because she is the wife that he himself has chosen and he ought to be pleased with his own choice, but because she is the wife that God in his providence appointed for him and he ought much more to be pleased with the divine appointment, pleased with her because she is his own. Let thy fountain be blessed think thyself very happy in her, look upon her as a blessed wife, let her have thy blessing, pray daily for her, and then rejoice with her. Those comforts we are likely to have joy of that are sanctified to us by prayer and the blessing of God. It is not only allowed us, but commanded us, to be pleasant with our relations; and it particularly becomes yoke-fellows to rejoice together and in each other. Mutual delight is the bond of mutual fidelity. It is not only taken for granted that the bridegroom rejoices over his bride, but given for law. Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of thy life. God in his providence appointed for him. It makes sense to me that God made me and this earth why can't he help me find  my wife. Then I found Joshua Harris's book (I Kissed Dating Goodbye). Ive read this book like five times, you know how you find a good book and you; just want to soak it up. While I read his book I searched the Bible at the same time. God says some where is His word “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. " He new me when I was in my mothers womb, He knows the trouble that ill go through in the future and what im going through now so why not? Surly He can help me find my wife. "Trust Him even if it means not dating when other people think you should. When God knows you're ready for the responsibility of commitment, He'll reveal the right person under the right circumstances." Josh. I made a vow to God and my future wife. Along time ago when I was 15 years old that I would save my first kiss for that day when the pastor would say and I quote "I now pronounce you man and wife you may kiss the bride". And that I will stay pure for Her. I would have never made it this far if it was not for the Lord in my life I owe it all to God. In the past couple of years ive learned to love the Lord Ive found that I need Him every hour of every day. I believe that the Lord wants me to take the route of Courtship. I went to the THSC conference an I signed up for teen staff and in between helping out we went to classes at this one class. There was a married couple John and Laurie and they talked about the option of courtship and how they had met, and that courtship works with the guidance of the Lord through prayer.” But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives,” the Bible tells us,” he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control"(Galatians 5:22-23, NLT). “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. " When the Holy Spirit guides our journey toward marriage, our relationships will exhibit the same qualities.". From Josh's book.

Rebecca St. James has this song that’s been a great encouragement to me its called "Wait for me" I think it’s a letter to her future husband.

So im trusting in God on this matter.

I am, no I will be living my for Jesus from this day forward,
It will be hard but with the Lord working through me I can
do this.

True Love Can What with Gods help..

Well folks, Here is my first GUEST POST

Trucks, The Friendly Delivery Man and Our Protectors

I had a thought on the way home from the store (Christmas shopping aahhh!), today. The store was out of what I needed and I was told a truck would be in today. Then on the way home I saw an 18 wheeler, and that is what started this thought process.

Truckers and Package Delivery People: Truckers, they have a huge job to keep our stores stocked during the Christmas season and all year ‘round. Today we all take advantage of internet shopping, as a convenient way to get our Christmas shopping done, even last minute. And to get all our stuff there by Christmas the Mail, UPS and Fed-ex people are working extra long hours.

All we think about is getting what we want when we want it, and the store should have it, right. And we just expect our packages to show up on time; We never give a thought to the people who make it possible; People who give up a lot of time with family, spend a lot of time on the road, so that we can have well stocked stores and get our presents delivered ( especially during this time of year).

Our Trash pick-up Men: When I see them out there on a cold day, I think man, what a job they do for us.

So when you see their trucks on the road, think about how much they do.

Our Protectors: Our Police, Fire/EMT and last but certainly not least our TROOPS.

A lot of these people have to work even on Christmas! And our Troops over sea’s all have to be gone for Christmas, and they are there for us! So we can celebrate freely here at home in America. So remember them in your prayers and their family here at home missing them terribly this Christmas.

Also the Fort Hood families spending the first Christmas without loved ones.

Just a thought to remember all these folks…

The chorus to one of my favorite Christmas songs-

Come on Ring those bells, light the Christmas tree
Jesus is the King born for you and me.

Come on ring those bells, everybody sing
Jesus we remember this your birthday
(Evie)

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
