Boys to Men

"Boys [should be] inured from childhood to trifling risks and slight dangers of every possible description, such as tumbling into ponds and off of trees, etc., in order to strengthen their nervous system.... They ought to practice leaping off heights into deep water. They ought never to hesitate to cross a stream over a narrow unsafe plank for fear of a ducking. They ought never to decline to climb up a tree, to pull fruit merely because there is a possibility of their falling off and breaking their necks. I firmly believe that boys were intended to encounter all kinds of risks, in order to prepare them to meet and grapple with risks and dangers incident to man's career with cool, cautious self-possession... -R.M. Ballantyne

I really like this Quote just thought I would share it with yall.

:) Happy Thanksgiving

I Will Enter His Gates

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart,
I will enter His courts with praise!
I will say this is the day that the Lord has made,
I will rejoice for He has made me glad.
He has made me glad! He has made me glad!
I will rejoice for He has made me glad.
He has made me glad, He has made me glad.
I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

Psalms 118:24
This is the day which the LORD has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Very Sad but Joyous NEWS

My Moms, Mom or Grandma to Me has
gone to be with Jesus in Heaven .

I ask for prayers for the the
family that know the Lord to cling to Him,
and for thoughs who do not that we who do might
be a shining example of christ to them.

“Come unto Me all you who labor
and are heavy laden–and
I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Stop the Music then play

Sweet Beulah Land

I'm kind of homesick for a country
to which I've never been before.
No sad goodbyes will there be spoken,
And time won't matter anymore

Beulah Land I'm longing for you,
and someday on thee I'll stand.
There my home shall be eternal.
Beulah Land... sweet Beulah Land

I'm looking now across that river
to where my faith is gonna end in sight.
Theres just a few more days to labor,
Then I'll take, my heavenly flight

Beulah Land I'm longing for you,
and someday on thee I'll stand.
There my home shall be eternal.
Beulah Land, Sweet Beulah land

A new book

Have you ever read a book that was so good, that when you got to the end you didn't want it to end you just want the story to go on. Well I'm finishing When Dreams Come True by Eric and Leslie Ludy now I'm trying to decide what to read next, one book I had thought about was The Bravehearted Gospel  by Eric Ludy.
Y'all folks have any thoughts book Ideas?

The books Ive read in the past few months have made me grow closer to God, to trust Him with everything in my life even the small things, to pray about everything... Ive learned how Important quit time is how refreshing it is, But I still don't have quit time as often as I would like,  I guest that one more thing I need to pray about, one thing I want to be known for my Love for Jesus, to be known as a follower of Jesus, not as I am now...
Some times I feel like the The Cowardly Lion in the wizard of Oz...
Oh and my new blog is called Knights of the Redeemer

all is well

Ok not all is perfect, but a lot better, I am now able to put my ankle on the ground and stand with both of my feet and walk/hop around with my fracture boot witch I will have on for another month, THEN! I get to put on booth of my cowboy boots on and walk yeehaaaa!

First stop the Music at the bottom

One of my favourite Hymns

When I survey the wondrous cross
Words: Isaac Watts, Hymns and Spiritual Songs, 1707.
Charles Wesley reportedly said he would give up all his other hymns to have written this one.

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood.

See from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e’er such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

His dying crimson, like a robe,
Spreads o’er His body on the tree;
Then I am dead to all the globe,
And all the globe is dead to me.

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all.

My Baptism

Last Sunday 25th 2010 I made a public sign
of accepting Jesus as my savior by being baptized.

Why the Laughing?

From my point of view my
head didn't go down all
the way so My pastor Travis pushed
my head down.

From the crowds point of
view it looked like Travis was
trying to drowned me.

Sermon and whats up

Sermon on Modesty called "The soul of Modesty" Tell me what you think, when you comment. This sermon was a great encouragement to me an I pray it will be to you.

Now whats up?
I have one more week till I can try putting wheaght on my foot and I'm designing a NEW blog that will mainly focusing on the's subjests Honor, Decorum, Holiness, Heroism, Reverence, Responsibility, Generosity and Purity. I ask for prayer for this blog that I keep the focus on what the Bible says, that the Lord will give me the words and wisdom on how He wants me to do things on the Blog. I Have come up with a name for the blog it is "Knights of the Redeemer" Why Knights well because there cool and the meaning of the word  knight, from Old English  ("boy" or "servant") we are in a way Servants of the Jesus, and why Redeemer well someone already had used King, so I had to come up with something else.

Is FEAR sin?...

Fear is an uneasiness of mind, upon the thought of future evil likely to befall us. An emotion experienced in anticipation of some pain or danger. Consider these two key words in the definition of fear-MIND and THOUGHT. Fear has everything to do with the mind, our thought pattern and belief system primarily our belief system.

Is there a problem of situation that is BIGGER than GOD ?
The scripture says,"I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." Phil 4:13
"With God all things are possible." Matt 19:26 It is not us, it is God, God is able friends. Peter started sinking because he was focusing on the wind and the waves. If he had kept his eyes upon Jesus, fear would not have entered into his heart, That's the problem. We are trying to stand on your own two feet. We are trying to fight our own battles. Then the bitter reality awakens our consciousness in accepting the fact that the present situation is more than we can handle. Fear kicks in because when we plug-in personal effort into the equation of victory and do the math, the answer equals defeat.  Immediately, we are over come by fear, because we are not in control. Then fear of death, the fear of bodily injury over shadows us. Our admonition dear readers is, "In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths." Prov3:6

Worry is a form of fear, a fear of things to come, not trusting in God to work all things for our good. God wants us to trust Him in everything. I think God doesn't want us to fear there are many times in the New and Old Testament He tells us not to fear. Isaiah41:10 "Do not fear for I am with you: Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
So is fear sin? Well when you worry of doubt or fear someone or something are you trusting God? In the Bible there are 300 plus times where God says not to fear..Is fear sin? if it makes you doubt or not trust God...then YES.
But where not perfect and we will never be here on this earth.
I strive to walk in my Jesus foot steps but most of all God
wants me to trust Him in everything....

Black and Blue

Such pretty colors but not when there on your ankle.
Well Folks I will not leave
you in suspense any longer.

Last Monday at about 12:30 am I went to clean
the church like every other Monday. I had jury duty the next day
and the day after i was going to Massachusetts to visit family so I was working faster than
I usually do I was arranging the chairs so they where straight and I tripped over the last
one and as I fell I saw  my ankle twist in a very unnormal manner.
There I was lying on my side with this pain that made me scream and cry at the same time. So I
know I needed help but no phone on me or in the church then I remembered the first aid kit in the kitchen
so I dragged my self across the gym floor into the kitchen found the first aid kit but nothing that could really help me find out if it was broken of just sprained so i made my way to the back door to see if maybe I could drive or maybe use the horn to signal. On the way out the backdoor I found one crutch.
I was standing in the doorway think to my self and asking the Lord for help on my next move when the Lord brought to mind that there was a church next door that had football practice on Monday.

So it was 2:00pm by now I was thinking to my self If i was suppose to keep my shoe on or off...
Future note to anyone who sprains there ankle DON"T TAKE YOUR SHOE OFF so
you guested  it I toke my shoe off bad idea as I toke my shoe off  my foot got bigger.
And pain Oh Boy!!was there ever anyway to make a long story short.
They came out to practice I called one of the trainers over he let me use his cell I called home he told me what was wrong he said a upper ankle sprain and here i am four days latter with a very colorful foot telling you this true story about my foot.
Prayers are welcome.
My foot is getting better the swelling has gone down a lot I still can't walk.

I ask that you would pray that the Lord gives me Patience and that He would help me not to worry. :)

"Lord I know you have a purpose in all this
you don't want me to wonder why JUST TO TRUST YOU."

God’s Creation

By Adam

This year is just flying by, but it also seems to creep along too. Well anyway I have been noticing in more detail the wonders of Gods Awesome Creation. Like the clouds, and how every sunrise and sunset that no one is the same. I’ll go ride out on my bike and lie in the grass, look up at the sky and all the colors the blue, white, red, pink, purple, gray, orange, yellow and there are hundreds of different shades of each color.

I like to go fishing and I know a lot of different types of fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals that live in the Bayou’s where I fish, but there are hundreds of different types of fresh water fish. Let’s say you go to one of my favorite fishing holes, I know where the fish like to hide, where the shallow parts are and where it’s deep, Buts that’s just

Fishin’ . When you look closer, like on the bank of the water you see green slim (algae they call it), plants flouting in the water, a spider is on the plant and a snake sliding over the water as if it was on ice, but when he sees you he disappears below the surface. A fish jumps out of the water and slaps his tail on the water as if to say ha ha you can’t catch me, a dragon fly lands on a rock, a turtle pop up and sees you and disappears, a small fish jumps out of the water and lands on a lily pad, after a few seconds he flips back into the water and is gone. A great blue heron lands on a rock and his head goes down like lightning and comes up with a crawfish, then fly’s away. A grasshopper jumps and misses his target and lands in the water and Wham!! A large mouth bass swims up under the grasshopper and swallows him as he fly’s up out of the water then lands back in with a splash.

Let’s get a fish’s eye view so to say; you see a muddy floor, you look at your world as if looking through aqua colored glasses. Some perch dart back into the rocks, under the lily pads the roots hang down, dragon fly larva cling to their roots. Crawfish patrol looking for food while keeping an eye out for large fish, for they would make lunch of him. A mussel works his way into the mud to hide as a flat head catfish heads his way; A crawfish drops in from the bank and swims toward the catfish as if he does not see him headed his way, the catfish starts to swim faster zeroing in on the crawfish, faster and faster the fish swims Wham!! Lunch!! Then all of the sudden, the catfish is jerked back, the fish fights, but to no avail he is pulled out of the water by me with a Abu Garcia Revo S. Ok back to the point, I got carried away there. You can see some of the complexity on all the things God has made in this little story. And I think to my self how can someone think this world was made by some Big Bang when I look around and think there has to be a maker everything point’s to it.

I wrote this post last year…

and when you stepped in it, you sank knee deep?

Yes many times. Once me and a friend where behind wall mart

30minutes to get me out because of the suction.....

When I was maybe 14 I think I was riding my bike and I crashed into
my neighbors mini van and made a scratch about 12" long I told my dad

Is Your Light Shining?

Last week at church I was in one of the class's when
heard the kids in another room singing "This Little Light of Mine".
Later that day I was think of the meaning of the
words to that song (we are lights in a world of darkness
does our light shine all the time or do we hide it under a basket
most of the time. I'm ashamed to say that most of the time
I’m like a turtle I just hide my head , I don’t light my
candle and let it shine where ever I go, the Lord has been showing
me this through my non-Christian "friends" I’m starting
to see how evil we are without Jesus in our life.

Rom 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

Rom 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God,
which is your spiritual service. 2 And be not
fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove
what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I don’t think that He likes our ability to withstand temptations
but our ability to flee to run the other way from temptations.
When I "withstanding" temptation I’m not doing it through Gods help
I’m boasting in my own strength and in the end I fail and fall by
the wayside. But when I run from temptations the Lord is giving me
the wisdom, and strength to flee from temptations for He knows what
I can handle and what I can not handle. He sought
Us before the world was made.
Hard times come and we cling to Him more tightly, as
Christians where not perfect but where forgiven by the
blood of the lamb... "Not one of us can stand completely
pure before God. We are all sinners. But no matter how
filthy the rags of our past may be, in a moment
of true surrender the heart turned toward God loses its
Impurity. God clothes us in Christ's righteousness. He no
longer sees our sins. He transfers Jesus' purity to us. So
see yourself as God sees you---clothed in radiant white,
pure, justified. Don't let the past beat you up. Forget it.
If you've repented of all your sins. God has
promised to remember them no more (Hebrews 8:12)

Here is a story I found on one of my followers blogs.

Light In a Dark World

Darkness. Black nothingness. And a whole lot of it. I looked all around. I couldn't see a single thing. It was strange. Almost like I wasn't there or something. But yet I was. How or where I couldn't tell you. It almost seemed like I was just watching everything take place. I don't really know. Then suddenly I could see a bit. It was still just as dark as before, but I could see through the darkness somehow. I could see movement. Slowly I was seeing clearer and clearer. There, right there. I could see something. It looked like a person. Yeah, there was people all over. I looked around and saw that I could see everything. Like literally everything. I mean the whole world. And it was was pitch dark. Yet people were still living their lives like normal. They acted like it wasn't even dark. I was pondering on this, when I happened to see a man walking around with a candle. The strange thing is, it wasn't lit! I couldn't believe it! He was living his life normally. The only thing weird I noticed about him was that occasionally someone would point to his candle and say something to him. He didn't seem to have time for it. Before I could think about that very much, I saw another man holding a candle. It was lit. The light flickered in the darkness, brightly. Everywhere he went he was noticed. I looked closer. I could see people make their way towards the light. They hesitated and shrank back into the darkness as soon as the light from the candle fell on them. The man began to hand out candles to everyone he met. Most looked at it warily. Many, many people threw it down and ran away. They seemed to think "Why do I need this! I was just fine before!" and turned their back on the light, walking back into the darkness. The man then told the people that there was only one way to lite the candle, and then told them how. Some people began to get angry at the man, saying that he thought he was special for having the light. They could not see that they were stumbling around, as if blind all their life. Others of them were afraid. And then I saw one man step directly into the candlelight's beam and stand there. He asked a question. He then knelt down, as if to pray, and remained in that position for some time. After awhile I saw him move and looked hard. I saw that the man who's candle was lit was standing over the other man. Suddenly I saw that there was two lights. The other man's candle had been lit. He stood up, and said something, then walked away, light shining forth. Not because of light from himself. But from the candle. He had realized that he was blind without it, and needed it to see. I began to look around closely, and saw that here and there around the world; there were candles lit, and sometimes groups of then. I saw that many, many people held candles in their hands. Very few of them were lit. Then, I couldn't see anymore. It was just black. But I knew. I began to think hard about what I had seen. Suddenly I felt my mind whirling about me, spinning out of control. The image before me began to transform. White. White brightness. And a whole lot of it. Suddenly I realized I was looking at my ceiling. I looked around and saw I was in my room, and in my bed. I almost laughed. But the image of those people though, stumbling around in the dark was still there. And frankly, I hope it never goes away.

Well I thank the Lord for the trails He Has put me through
Last year and I pray that this year I may grow
Closer to my Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ…

I hope that this post will be a Encouragement
To yall’….
